Why is Indoor Air Quality Necessary?

Indoor Air Quality is essential in maintaining the relationship between a healthy working environment and a healthy work force. After all, most people spend upwards of 60% of their time indoors and the business community loses more than $1 billion in medical costs and $50 - $60 billion due to sick leave and lost production each year. Studies have shown that 70% or more of all Indoor Air Quality problems involve the HVAC system, and that most are due to inadequate care and maintenance of the system. The air ducts, which are the "lungs" of a building, can accumulate deposits of dust, dirt, smoke, insects, hair, dander and other airborne pollutants. Dirty air ducts can also become an ideal breeding ground for mold, spores, mildew, pollen, bacterial colonies, and other health threatening micro-organisms. The elimination of dirt and microbial growth in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems will account for increased equipment efficiencies and noticeable operating cost savings to the building owner, as well as a healthier working environment.

What Can American Clean Air Provide?

American Clean Air employs the latest technology in source removal, inspection, and monitoring equipment to offer the most professional, cost effective Indoor Air Quality program available. Our fully trained staff of professionals will assist you to provide any information related to your Indoor Air Quality needs.

Inspection, Testing and Evaluation

Our process begins by doing an on-site inspection of the contaminated area by way of a fiber-optic boroscope which allows us to visually inspect the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system using only minimal access. Also, the horoscope system allows video recording to be used for consultation with building managers at a later date and to do a before and after presentation once the cleaning process is complete.

The testing may consist of taking source cultures from the contaminated area to check for infectious microbial growth levels through laboratory testing. Typically, before and after cultures will be taken to check for safe microbial levels once source removal has taken place.

Once all aspects of the source removal and cleaning process are complete, our representatives will consult with the building manager or owner to establish methods of preventive maintainance to deter the reoccurance of contamination.

Corrective Action

American Clean Air, Inc. is dedicated to providing building owners with advanced source removal technology through the proper use of High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance (HEPA) Filtered Portable and Truck Mounted Collection systems.

The HEPA Filter design allows the unit to successfully draw up to 6,000 cubic feet per minute of vacuum while maintaining a 99.7% filtration efficiency rate. Our Truck Mounted equipment offers a 16,000 cubic feet per minute collection system.

Combining this advanced technology, along with our rotary brush system and other cleaning devices, American Clean Air offers the flexibility to meet even the most complex decontamination projects.

Indoor Air Quality Management
through Protective Maintenance

Contamination constantly enters the HVAC System through outdoor air intakes and return air openings on the negative pressure side of the system. Proper filtration and maintenance to the air handling unit is necessary for indoor air quality Regularly scheduled hygiene and maintenance programs are needed to control air born pollutants in the work place. Contaminated systems lead to increased facility operating costs in addition to compromised Indoor Air Quality.

American Clean Air offers continuous monitoring and frequent maintenance programs that are the most effective methods for HVAC hygiene.
